Talk about “getting a rush” and being fearless, Sabin has a quite the resume of outstanding performances. Some of his favorite accomplishments are landing his first kick-flip; first 360° off a launch ramp; dropping-in for the first time; finishing his first century bike ride; descending from the highest peak in Breckenridge, CO; skydiving and going below sea level and swimming with the fish. With his mom being his biggest fan, we guessing she’s just as brave as he is!

How does an athlete like this get started? When Sabin was 10, he constantly would take the neighbor’s skateboard to practice. After enough complaints from the neighbor that he was “hogging” the board, his parents took notice of his skill and bought him one of his own. He really never into team sports, but always skated with friends through high school. Sabin chose to go to college at an Art school where sports were never offered; this is when he got into cycling.

Next on his list of aspirations is to do a triathlon. His current winter training schedule is hitting the gym at least 5 days for 45 minutes of free-weights, usually followed by a 3-5 mile run 3-4 times a week. He will soon start incorporating swimming into the mix (it’s also his New Year’s resolution to incorporate more swimming into his workout regime). Once summer rolls around, he’ll be biking no less than 250 miles per week. As for training partners, “only if they can keep up” says Sabin. Downloading “fresh music” helps his momentum through workouts, but the results are truly what keep him motivated. To him, being fit means “at age 35, I can still look and feel like I’m 25”.

Sabin has one goal in life…to live it to the fullest. His take on being a model at the Jockey® photo shoot, “Whatever motivates and inspires others…whether you like to skate in a park or prefer to do yoga, as long as the reaction is positive, that’s what it’s all about.”

Workout advice from Sabin:
That “results will vary”. What works for one person doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for another but one thing remains constant, do nothing and you can guarantee your results.

***Sabin, you are truly living out your motto of “living life to its fullest”. Your energy and positive outlook is captivating. Thank you***
