We are so excited to welcome Tim Tebow to the Jockey® family.  As of July, 2010, the pro football quarterback will be serving as a Jockey® spokesperson.  Tim was a first round NFL draft pick in 2010.  In college, he won two national championships and was the first ever sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy.  He also was a two-time winner of the Maxwell Award as the nation’s top college football player, as well as the winner of the Dave O’Brien Award as the nation’s best college quarterback, and the James E. Sullivan Award as the nation’s most outstanding amateur athlete in any sport.  Needless to say, he is an incredible athlete.

Tebow will be working with several Jockey® product lines, including the new Jockey® Staycool line which will launch in spring 2011.  He will also be featured in Jockey catalogs, TV and print advertisements and on Jockey.com.  Tim said “I’m excited to represent the Jockey brand and to work with such an innovative company. I’ve long been a fan and consumer of Jockey, and think they make a quality product with a great fit.  I’m looking forward to a great relationship with such a respectable company.”

We are definitely excited to have Tim Tebow as a Jockey® spokesperson and are looking forward to working with him in the upcoming years. Go Tebow! Go Jockey®!

  1. To all those narrow minded individuals who say they will not buy Jockey products because of Tebow, let me say that buying Jockey brand has absolutely nothing to do with his beliefs. Tim is only a spokes person for Jockey Brand and is not there to push his beliefs on anyone, as you seem to want to do, so please get a life and do something good for yourselves, because it seems that you are wanting to force your own beliefs on others. I will continue to buy Jockey and support the hiring of Tebow as spokesperson.

  2. Jockey marketing folks really need to be sure to do homework here. It’s no secret that Tebow is a very divisive personality and adding him to your line-up will probably cost more customers than it gains. Personally, I’m saddened by this move, Jockey. You still have a chance to make it right and issue some sort of statement. Do you have that courage?

  3. What is wrong with some of you people out here??? What is so wrong with being connected to “Focus on the Family”??? What is wrong with a man being Christian and sharing his beliefs. This country was founded on the basic belief in God and Christianity. Having different beliefs is what makes the USA so great! I believe you all are the narrow-minded ones. I don’t even go to church but I do believe that if there were more people in this world with the beliefs and character that Tebow has…this world wouldn’t be in the current situation that it’s in. Jockey will not lose out with all of you taking your business elsewhere.

  4. Good for Jockey, it takes alot of courage to sign someone who has an opinion and from my viewpoint both Jockey and Tim Tebow are authentic down to their cores. I have seen many folks who feel differently and everyone in my book is entitled to their opinion….that’s the great thing about our society that many people forget about. Rock on Jockey….I am telling all my friends to buy it now.

  5. Contrary to the previous comment, I have never worn or purchased Jockey brand of ANYTHING in my 31 years of life, but from this point on, I have found a new “underwear” supplier for my entire family. While it is totally irrelevant, since this is a site for consumers of a product,I am baffled as to how someone could live with themselves while admitting a disdain for an organization like “Focus on the FAMILY”, whose business has been saving the lives and families of millions of people around the world for decades. Who knows; Maybe a fraction of them will begin to buy Jockey, and their profit margin will skyrocket.

  6. Nicholas Frost says:

I am truly disappointed at the signing of Tim Tebow as your new spokesman. I find his radical right wing beliefs destructive. My family and I cannot support your company while Mr. Tebow is associated with it. I am glad that the announcement was made before before our back to school shopping. I will be supporting another company from now. Very sad.

  7. Christopher says:

BOOOOOO! I’m throwing away the one sad pair of Jockey underwear I own now. Just like my fellow gays, I spend an OBSCENE amount of money on fashion underwear. BAD business move Jockey! BAD.

  8. I have worn Jockey products for years. That has all come to an end in one day after the hiring of this narrow-minded homophobe, whose football career will wear out even faster than your underwear that he’ll be wearing.

  9. formercustomer says:

Wow! Really? How about some religious zealotry to go with your underwear purchase today? After all these decades of purchasing Jockey products to now find out that the Co. is “Faith Based “. My “Faith” is not the same as Tebow’s so I guess my $ dollars $ are not as “Valued” by Jockey. Who is running the marketing Dept.? Fred Phelps?

  10. Jim Vesterby says:

I am amazed that Jockey would select Tim Tebow as its spokesperson. I’ve bought only Jockey underwear for about 20 years (or more). Any person who aligns himself with “Focus on the Family” is not a person I I am comfortable with, nor am I comfortable with supporting a company that would select him. As much as it pains me, I’ll have to find other underwear companies with whom I’ll spend my hard earned dollars.
