Julie started playing soccer at age 7. She caught the “soccer bug” from her older sister who loved to play and became hooked herself. In high school, at Brookfield East, she played soccer for 3 years and ran cross country for a year. Now in college, she plays with the Women’s Soccer Club (WSC) when she can get a break from school and work.
Besides playing soccer, she is really getting into Iyengar Yoga. Her next goals are to strengthen her leg muscles and become more flexible. To her being fit is all about making healthy choices and staying active the best that you can. Julie leans on her family for inspiration and motivation, with her biggest fan being her dad.
She also loves art, museums, reading, camping, traveling and spend time with her family and boyfriend. Her New Year’s resolution? She wants to further her culinary skills.
Workout advice from Julie:
When running, make sure your posture is correct. A lot of people do not run properly and it can slow you down and tire you out.
