Beat the heat this summer
We all love those blue skies and sunny summer days, but when the temps climb to the 90s (or higher), things can get a little too sticky. Don’t sweat it! We’ve got tips and tricks to stay cool all summer long.
1. Have water on hand (always)
Wherever you’re headed, be sure to keep a cold bottle (or two) on hand. Drinking plenty of liquids, especially H2O, is key to preventing dehydration.
2. Mesh is best
Wearing mesh clothing is a great choice for several reasons. It’s breathable, fast-drying and allows for enhanced ventilation.
Jockey® Sporties mesh underwear and bralettes have allover mesh fabric to provide extra breathability so you stay cool, dry and comfortable.
For men, Jockey Sport® cooling mesh underwear are a perfect choice—the ultra-smooth, quick-drying microfiber and mesh panels help keep you comfortable before, during and after your workout.
3. Top it off
With a hat, that is. A cap or floppy hat will help shield you from the sun—and make a fashion statement at the same time!
4. Wear sweat-wicking clothing
Choose fabrics that pull moisture away from your skin. By wicking away and evaporating sweat, they help keep your skin dry and cool.
5. Go with cotton
More breathable than other fabrics like synthetics, cotton will keep you feeling cooler and more comfortable. New men’s Essential Fit Staycool+™ is great choice because the fabric is the optimal weight—not too light or too heavy—plus it wicks and evaporates moisture so you feel cooler, drier and more comfortable.
6. Dress light
Start with Seamfree® Air underwear – they feel light, smooth and seamless under clothing. Then, ditch the bulky sweater and fitted jeans for clothing more appropriate for warm weather, like shorts, flowy skirts, lightweight tees and tanks.
