The breathtaking beauty of the colors changing in the forest.  The crunch and crackle of leaves under your feet. The brisk, refreshing air that awakens your senses. And, of course, all things pumpkin spice. There are so many reasons to love fall. From its mild temps to its glorious colors to its seasonal events, it’s time to layer on your thermals, jackets and vests and soak up everything it has to offer.

Here are a few of our favorite fall things to get you ready to welcome the season.

1. Pumpkins

Oh, my gourd, need we say more? You can pick ’em, eat ’em, decorate ’em—options abound with this well-loved squash. Whether you head to a patch to choose your very own, make your favorite pie or carve out your spookiest, scariest design, pumpkins entertain and delight those of any age.

2. Apples

Grab your jacket (men’s sweater jacket) and head to your favorite orchard for some good, old-fashioned fun. Sip on fresh cider, get a bag of warm donuts and catch a seat on the hay ride. Taste-test all the delicious varieties, from crunchy and sweet, to tart and crisp, and bring home your harvest to continue the good times at home. Apple crisp, anyone?

3. Football

Sport your favorite teams garb and get ready for some football. Head to the game for tailgating and friendly banter or host a get-together and gather around the TV. Either way, football brings everyone together for a great time.

4. Boots (and booties)

Whether you choose leather, suede, rubber, heel or no heel, short or tall, fall’s all about the boots and we LOVE it. First off, no more worrying about that pedicure! Second, boots come in so many styles, colors and designs that there’s a pair for everyone. Wear them with your favorite leggings (active leggings) or jeans for a go-to fall look.

5. The scenery

Not much beats the magnificent colors of fall. The continuous backdrop of vibrant reds, breathtaking oranges and glorious golds deserve all the attention they’re sure to attract. Paired with the welcome breeze after a warm summer, there’s always a reason to get outside this season.
